Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

SASE Components

What is Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)?

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is a modern cloud-based security framework that combines networking and security into a single solution.

Instead of relying on outdated hardware-based security, SASE delivers protection directly from the cloud, ensuring users and devices stay secure wherever they connect.

With SASE, organizations can simplify their security, improve network performance, and protect users against cyber threats, while enabling seamless remote work and cloud adoption.

A combination of 2 key components

Secure Service Edge (SSE) is a collection of security technologies that enables user based traffic to internal and external applications, regardless if they are within a local datacenter or within a hybrid public cloud.

Zero Trust Access

Micro-Segmented, contextually analyzed, and authenticated user traffic from any location to internal applications wherever placed.

Secure Web Gateway

Security solution that inspects and controls user web traffic to protect against threats, enforce policies, and prevent data loss.

Advanced Threat Protection

Detect, analyze, and proactively block sophisticated cyber threats before they cause damage.

Cloud Access Security Broker

Instance between user and SaaS that controls cloud app usage, ensures policy adherence, and secures sensitive data flowing to and from the cloud.

Data Leakage Prevention

Detect, monitor, and prevent unauthorized transmission or leakage of sensitive data outside an organization.

Firewall as a Service

Cloud-based firewall that provides centralised access policies for North-South Traffic from Branches & Users to the public Internet.

WAN-Edge is a collection of network technologies that focuses on the enablement of local branches to access (cloud based) internal resources, multi-branch connectivity or branches to datacenter connectivity.

Centralized Cloud Management

Simplifies management and operation of WAN-Infrastructure and Traffic Shaping with a centralized Cloud Management.

Local Routing

Directing network traffic locally at the branch level.

Local Firewalling

Implementing security policies directly at the branch or site level ensures east-west and north-south segmentation.

DDI

Integrated management of core network services: DNS,DHCP, IPAM

Every connection is verified

With a Zero Trust Exchange, every connection is verified, minimizing risks while enabling fast, direct access to cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as business critical apps. This approach improves security, reduces attack surfaces, and enhances performance.

THE PROBLEM

Common problems without SASE

Slow Wifi

Slow & Unreliable Connections

Traditional network security often routes traffic through central data centers, causing delays for remote users.

Complex & Costly Security

Complex & Costly Security

Managing multiple security tools across different locations is expensive and difficult to maintain.
